Brachyplatystoma juruense Standard Length: 0 mm Locality: Nauta, Peru, 21 July 2008 Individual variation in adult coloration of Brachyplatystoma juruensis, a large Amazonian catfish. Apparently every adult specimen is potentially recognizable as an individual to other members of the species. Juveniles of the same species have only slight differences in coloration.
